By adopting this unique feature, VV100 manifold units can be built from 34.2mm to a maximum length of 146.4mm by simply changing the length of the manifold’s tie rod and by adding or removing the number of plug-in (D-sub connector) or hard wired valve stations. Further features include the ability to combine a power saving circuit in individual valves thereby reducing the energy consumption from 0.4W as standard; to only 0.15W when using the continuous duty model and safe maintenance has been considered as each valve can be manually turned off. Series VV100 is suitable for both direct or bracket mounting and can also accommodate various piping sizes including SMC´s miniature 2mm one-touch fittings.
Integral valve design brings outstanding space saving manifold solutions
Following Electronic and Semiconductor Industry requests for a compact manifold unit with integral 3-port solenoid valves, world leaders in pneumatics, SMC have answered the challenge with their new Series VV100 Integrated Manifold Unit. Designed specifically with space-saving and ease-of-use in mind, SMC´s R&D engineers have cleverly integrated two single 3-port solenoid valves into each manifold valve station thereby reducing the unit’s overall dimension.
