With an efficiency level of up to 93%, SITOP SU8200 consumes very little energy and generates minimal heat inside the control cabinet. At just 145mm wide, it also saves space on a standard mounting rail.
The device has a metal enclosure and a wide range single-phase input (85 to 132/170 to 264V AC), with automatic range switchover between 120V and 230V AC.
The power supply also features an integrated ‘24 V OK’ signaling contact, an output voltage variable from 24 to 28V to compensate for voltage drops, a wide ambient temperature range from -25 to 70°C, as well as UL, CSA, GL, ATEX or IECex international certifications.
To help with the design and planning process, 2D/3D data, circuit diagram macros, operating instructions and certificates are available free of charge on www.siemens.co.uk. Product information, such as datasheets and manuals, can be downloaded directly during operation by reading the data matrix code with the Siemens Industry Online Support App.
Joanne Banks, Product Manager – Micro Automation & SITOP Power Supplies at Siemens UK & Ireland commented: “The new SITOP SU8200 is a robust power solution for the automotive, food, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, as well as any other industries which have high reliability requirements.
“Our SITOP switched mode power supply units are globally recognised for their ability to cope with critical network conditions; this new compact solution means manufacturers can continue using high quality products without the need for a large amount of space.”
