Sound move: Bruel & Kjaer sponsors Acoustics 2016

Brüel & Kjær is one of the key sponsors for the Acoustics 2016 conference, taking place in Chesford Grange, Warwickshire (September 5-6). Organised by the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), this two-day event is a series of lectures and presentations covering a range of topics such as building acoustics, environmental noise, measurement and instrumentation, noise and vibration engineering.

During the evening of 5^th September, the IOA will also host its annual meeting and an awards dinner for attendees.

Visitors can see Brüel & Kjær’s latest sound and vibration equipment and talk to its expert engineers, as they will be exhibiting throughout the two-day conference.

On the afternoon of the 6^th September, Mark Dowie, B&K’s environmental specialist, will be running a workshop on BS4142:2014 on behalf of the Measurement & Instrumentation Group.

The session covers planning and performing measurements for BS:4142 with an overview of the acoustic correction features, calculation, assessment and reporting process.

Delegates will have the opportunity to work in groups, performing calculations and discuss their results.
