“When we founded Merseyflex we had a vision to hold stock of industrial hose, pipework, fittings, valves and sealing products so we could quickly turn around orders nationally at competitive rates whilst maintaining quality,” said Andy Cotterill, Director, Merseyflex.
“We achieved that and built a workforce with experience and expertise that our customers value.
“However, as we expanded and began needing to secure more space it became clear that we needed to find somewhere big enough to house the entire business. As a responsible business, we were also keen to reduce our carbon footprint.

“Thanks to the current investment in infrastructure within the Liverpool City Region, Venture Point offered exactly what we needed. As well as greater storage capacity on site, we have been able to install a new fabrication, fitting shop, test and purpose built inspection facility. This allows us to offer a full, fast service to our clients and provide vital skills training opportunities moving forward.”
Merseyflex, which employs 28 people operates nationally and internationally across a range of markets and will now focus on continuing growth from its new home.
“From Speke we have great transport links to the motorway network which will help us better serve our nationwide customer base,” said Cotterill. “It also means when they send tankers to us they cause significantly less disruption to the local road network.
“While we continuing to focus on existing clients we also continue to seek emerging opportunities in the oil and gas, industrial, environment, food and beverage sector and thanks to Liverpool 2 and SuperPort the cost of importing products and our delivery timescales will give us a competitive advantage over rivals in other parts of the country.”
