It is the second seven-figure order to be received by the company from this part of England in the last few months. The first was for the supply to an aerospace subcontractor of three automated machining cells based on Hermle 5-axis machining centres, for which Geo Kingsbury is also sole UK agent.
The TNX65 lathes will be the first of this recent design in the UK when they are installed towards the end of 2010. Each will complete the last operation in three production lines operated by the precision manufacturer.
