Click Secure Technology is available on all eConnect PDUs with IEC outlets. The patent covers the locking design and housing on each outlet. A squeeze-and-release tab allows a plug to be securely inserted and fastened to a PDU without the need for proprietary power cords, which safeguards power and eliminates the cost of additional accessories.
Ashish Moondra, CPI Senior Product Manager of Power, Electronics and Software, stated: “CPI’s eConnect PDUs with locking outlets protect data centres from facing critical down-time due to inadvertent unplugging of IT equipment. The ability to use the locking mechanism with standard power cords, this can save organisations anywhere from $50 – $200 per cabinet deployment.”
Additional key features of eConnect PDUs include:
- Secure Array IP Consolidation – Link up to 32PDUs under a single IP address using standard Ethernet cables.
- High-outlet density models – Solutions support up to 100A and a high number of C13 and C19 outlets
- High ambient temperature ratings – For use in ambient air temperatures up to 65°C (149°F) at the input power rating (kW)
- 1kW monitoring accuracy – Precise kW reading with +/-1 accuracy for exact power measurement
- Tailored power options – Customisation capabilities range from terminal block accessible PDUs, to customised colourisation
eConnect PDUs provide a solution for rack-level power monitoring, distribution and control in evolving data centres. Available in more than 330 standard configurations from five progressive product models.
