These upgrades have featured a range of bagging scales / feeders and a variety of near obsolete controllers; all of which have been modified or replaced and thereby given a new lease of life and can now be operated to current Weights & Measures regulatory standards. Brief details are provided about some of these projects.
Animal Feed Mill – refurbishment and upgrade of a belt fed bagging weigher.
Contract Blending & Packing company – upgrading Speedac 7 controllers to SpeedAC NXT operations, for enhanced reliability and continued plant operation.
Minerals Processing company in the West Country – upgrading two Computapak II controllers with SpeedAC NXT controllers and provision of a ‘hot-standby’ controller; pre-configured for use on either packing system.
Irish Flour Mill – upgrade of a belt fed GE55 gross weigher to include SpeedAC NXT control.
Leading Bakery Mix producer – upgrading two Richard Simon screw fed gross scales and Speedac 8 controllers to SpeedAC NXT control.
Grain company – upgrading a competitor supplied belt fed gross scale to Weights & Measures approved use with a SpeedAC NXT controller; plus a controller upgrade to a platform scale based IBC filling systems – again using a SpeedAC NXT controller.
Other equipment recently refurbished by Chronos BTH includes: feeders; weigh-belt feeders; bulk weighers; bag holders; bag placers; palletisers; and baling equipment.
