VERLINDE chain hoists donated for African mechanics

VERLINDE has donated more than 1000 VERLINDE PHD type manual chain hoists with a lifting capacity of 1.5 tonnes and 3 tonnes to the association PVDD (Pour un Vrai Développement Durable – For real sustainable development). They will contribute to encouraging the development of local craftwork, and in particular the workshops for general mechanics or mechanics for farm equipment.

PVDD is an association under the 1901 Act whose vocation is to participate in providing practical help for sustainable development in Southern countries. For local routing of the chain hoists, PVDD relies on other associations which will ensure that the equipment arrives at its destination, even though the risks of it being diverted are frequent and that the transit and customs clearance procedures often take a long time. The first chain hoists are being distributed in Haiti, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in Togo.
