This wireless connectivity is a particular benefit in applications where the drive is difficult to access, which is often the case with, for example, cranes, hoists and lifts. Using the wireless HMI module and the app is also very convenient, as it is no longer necessary for engineers and technicians to carry a dedicated local control panel to monitor and configure drives.
The new Danfoss wireless HMI module uses standard WiFi technology and security features, making it easy to set up. MyDrive Connect, which is used to access the module, will be free to download and available for iOS and Android devices.
On compatible devices, MyDrive Connect provides features that include display of status messages, a quick menu for easy drive commissioning, parameter setting and adjustment, alarm logging and a reset function. It can also display trend graphs to help evaluate the performance of the drive over time. It is intuitive in operation and incorporates extensive help functionality, as well as making use of graphics to present information clearly and in a readily understood form.
The new Danfoss wireless HMI module will be compatible with VLT HVAC Drive FC 102, VLT AQUA Drive FC 202, and VLTAutomationDrive FC 302.
