Miniature voice coil motor features high force

Moticont’s miniature Linear Voice Coil Motor, LVCM-022-013-01, features a high force-to-weight ratio of 14.5oz (4.0N), continuous force and 45.7oz (12.7N) peak force in a compact 22.2×12.7mm (0.875×0.50”) package. The clean, quiet, efficient, low inertia, high acceleration, high speed motor has zero cogging and features high accuracy, and high repeatability to less than1μm (0.00004”) when operated in a closed loop as a DC servo motor.

This miniature voice coil motor is well suited for applications such as: Pick-and-place, testing, laser steering, mirror positioning, scanning, oscillation, switching, and hand held medical, dental, or industrial applications.

The miniature LVCM-022-013-01 linear voice coil motor has a stroke length of 6.4mm (0.25”) and is easily added to new or existing applications using the precision drilled and tapped 4-40 UNC-2B mounting holes.

Other smaller and larger models as well as custom designs are available. The LVCM-022-013-01 linear voice coil motor can be order as a complete plug-and-play system including an encoder and controller.
