SUNON EC Axial Fan

SUNON´S EC Axial Fan is a high-efficiency, brushless DC motor which is driven directly from an AC power supply. With only 4.4W, it reduces the power consumption by approximately 80% compared with the conventional AC Fans and by up to 35% compared to other competitor EC fans. It is dedicated to refrigerators, freezers, wine chillers, and any commercial refrigeration equipment. As an option, they are available with IP68 water and dust protection.EC (Electronic Commutation) technology is based on a DC motor that has an integrated AC to DC converter. Furthermore to lower power consumption, 70% less than with an AC shade pole motor, it also provides multi-speed control as well as a very low acoustic level, an excellent motor life, and high compactness.

EC axial fans are currently marketed in 2 sizes, 120x120x38 mm, and ring 250(impeller diameter =200mm) x78 mm.

The 250×78 mm fan is dedicated to larger evaporator/condenser fans, with IP55 as a standard and IP68 as an option. This EC fan allows high/low speed switching with day and night operation via customer control circuit. Benchmarked with competitor EC fans, SUNON´s fans still have a 35% power saving benefit at all different operating conditions. The 120x38mm EC fan is mainly dedicated to small cooling fans or other industries.

According to DoE research, evaporator fan shutdown is a leading technology that will be very efficient for energy savings for refrigerators. Applying EC fans to refrigerators will be a key success factor in reducing total power loss. In 2015, more power saving refrigerators were included in ENERGY STAR´s Most Efficient Criteria program. This new program is dedicated to identifying highly-efficient products in the marketplace.
