Schneider Electric has introduced a new 3-Phase Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCBO) device with Overcurrent Protection, the latest addition to its Acti9 range.
The Acti9 iC60 H3 is designed to help commercial and industrial customers protect against overloads, earth faults, and short circuits, allowing them to comply with BS 7671 electrical wiring and low voltage solutions regulations.
With board space at a premium, Schneider Electric has developed a new generation 3-phase RCBO with a significantly reduced footprint, designed for installation within the distribution board. The new device requires only three modules, compared to seven modules for the previous design, enabling a more efficient distribution board layout.
The new 3-Phase RCBO has been designed to be compatible with PowerTag Energy Sensors to deliver energy consumption monitoring. The sensor data feeds into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Energy Hub solution and Building Management Systems giving insights into energy usage on which operational decisions can be made to maximise uptime and efficiency.
Key features and benefits of the Acti9 iC60H3 RCBO include:
- Type A RCD technology for modern loads with electronic components
- Compact 3P RCBO design for Acti9 distribution boards, reducing footprint from seven modules (Vigi unit) to just three modules
- solid neutral and voltage-dependent technology, ensuring reliable operation
- faster installation with reduced wiring connections, enabling straightforward upgrade from MCB to RCBO
- PowerTag and EcoStruxure ready for panel and circuit-level energy monitoring
Acti9 iC60H3 RCBO is available now and can be purchased through the distributor network.
