Designed by Chemineer at its UK base in Derby, using the company’s specialist and exclusive Expert Software, the polished agitators have been operating in a pilot plant.
3D models were advanced to the customer for import into their software so that cable entry details were correct and also to eliminate any potential clashes. CFD was also used to optimise impeller design and positioning.
For gas dispersion and reincorporation of gas from head space, Chemineer provided one agitator with three up-pumping Maxflow-W impellers. Additional designs included two high efficiency impellers with a low level operation that were specially designed to avoid the bottom outlet valve.
