Pump units driven by engines with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system use high-efficiency combustion, which results in lower fuel consumption and reducing NOx emissions from 2.0 g/kWh to 0.4 g/kWh – a massive 80%.
How SCR works: Before the exhaust gases pass through the catalytic converter, up to 5% AdBlue is added. The NOx is then converted to harmless nitrogen gas and water vapour, and released into the environment.
Reduced overall costs: For the end users, the principal benefit of pump units with SCR engines start with unsurpassed fuel efficiency that cuts in operating costs. The catalytic converter is designed to last the life of the engine, costs for maintenance and downtime are also reduced.
