The D-Series are mainstream transmitters comparable with similar devices from other leading manufacturers in terms of performance and reliability, but with a significant price advantage. Reading accuracy of the units is 0.075% for ambient temperatures between -40degC and +80degC. Casings are either cast aluminium alloy or stainless steel, and provide environmental protection to IP66/IP67.
“The D-Series is a major expansion to our product lines, and offers customers in all process sectors an attractive alternative to established brands,” said Delta Controls product manager, Ben Mellick.
The transmitters have a long-term stability of three years, and are available with the HART communications protocol. The company offers a high level of technical support and helps customers understand how to set up and use the units. A rotatable LCD display with LED backlight enables the output to be easily read in situ under poor lighting conditions.
The units can be remotely calibrated, configured and monitored using a laptop computer running Delta Controls’ D-Soft remote communication software. This software provides a wide range of functions, including identification of the individual transmitter, configuration of output parameters and readings of currently measured values.
A number of other variants in the range are available, including units with remote chemical seals for flow or level measurement.
