Smart Cities UK 2017 will take a closer look at what’s known as ‘smart transformation’ across cities within the UK. The aim is to provide guidance and information on transforming the systems vital to a smart city, including security, energy, transport, waste and critical national infrastructure.
Colin Leatherbarrow (pictured), Product Solutions Director, Chubb, will speak about the need for closer collaboration between the public and private sectors in order to protect people and business. He will also discuss how enhanced security helps residents better enjoy everything the urban space has to offer, such as culture, national heritage, entertainment and commerce.
Leatherbarrow commented: “With the speed of new technology being adopted, ‘connected’ fire and security solutions have a place in any smart city where digital solutions are used to increase the efficiency of traditional networked services.”
Smart Cities UK 2017 is being held at Stamford Bridge, London on the 1st-2nd February.
