NTT DATA is deploying an AI-powered infrastructure operations platform across Daimler Truck’s global manufacturing environment, using predictive analytics and automation to identify potential problems before they disrupt production.
The platform monitors tens of thousands of devices across Daimler Truck’s global operations, bringing IT, Cloud, SAP and network infrastructure into a single operational view.
NTT DATA said the system uses real-time monitoring and predictive analytics to identify emerging issues and enable intervention before they affect manufacturing operations.
It also automates multi-stage incident management, reducing the need for manual intervention and accelerating the resolution of infrastructure problems.
For manufacturing companies operating connected production sites, keeping the underlying digital infrastructure available is increasingly critical as factories become more dependent on Cloud services, enterprise software, networks and connected equipment.
The deployment also includes coordinated hardware upgrades and lifecycle management, allowing NTT DATA to plan infrastructure refreshes while maintaining connectivity at production sites.
The system combines on-site expertise with offshore teams in an AI-orchestrated delivery model, which NTT DATA said allows infrastructure operations to be managed globally while retaining local support.

NTT DATA said the Daimler Truck deployment is one example of how it is applying AI to the management of large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
The company is positioning predictive infrastructure management as a way for manufacturers to move from responding to IT failures towards identifying and addressing potential disruptions before they affect production.
