Bel Fuse, the US-based electronics manufacturer, has broadened its DNG40 2nd Generation DC-DC Converter Series with four new output voltage variants, reinforcing its footprint in high-performance industrial and transport power systems.
The additions — 350DNG40-24-8, 350DNG40-48-8, 700DNG40-12-8, and 700DNG40-48-8 — complement the previously launched 350DNG40-12-8 and 700DNG40-24-8 models. According to the company, the expanded line-up provides greater flexibility for designers operating in demanding environments such as underground mining, construction, and marine systems.
Bel Fuse said the DNG40 Series delivers up to 60% weight reduction compared with its predecessor, the DNC40 Series, allowing for simpler installation and removing the need for coolant fittings or anti-vibration bushings. The converters support UDS, CAN.FD, and cybersecurity protocols, and can be paralleled up to eight units to meet higher power requirements.
The products are certified to CE, UKCA, and ECE R10.6 standards. They will be stocked exclusively by DigiKey and Mouser, with a standard lead time of 12 weeks. While the devices are aimed primarily at original equipment manufacturers, Bel Fuse highlighted applications in EV and eMobility sectors, as well as other harsh-environment deployments.
