What’s in store for industrial automation in 2026?
The industrial automation sector is entering a pivotal year. From digital twins to smarter production lines, organisations are looking ahead to the technologies, investments, and strategies that will define their operations.
To help chart this landscape, Automation News is inviting professionals across the automation community to take part in a survey designed to capture what matters most to our industry in the year ahead.
It’s an opportunity to have your say about the wide range of issues affecting businesses and operations over the next twelve months — from the implementation of AI tools across the sector to the cyber threats looming.
We want to find out the topics which are likely to mean the most to you in 2026; whether that’s robotics, industrial IoT, PLC programming, safety, predictive maintenance, Edge AI, sustainability, digital twins, or battery storage.
Participants will also be asked about the challenges they expect to face in automation projects, the trade shows and conferences they plan to attend, and how they typically source automation news.
The findings will be published later in the year, providing a comprehensive snapshot of what automation professionals around the world are planning and prioritising for 2026.
The survey takes just a few minutes to complete. Anyone who participates will be entered into a prize draw to receive a $100 Amazon voucher.
