EAO targets UK automation sector with EcoTouch low-cost industrial components

EAO, the human machine interface specialist, has expanded its UK offering with a new line of lower-cost industrial automation components aimed at equipment manufacturers seeking reliable, rugged hardware without premium pricing.

The Series 46 EcoTouch range includes new push-button switches, pendant controllers, and signal light towers, alongside selectors, joysticks, keylocks, and E-stops. All products meet at least IP65 standards, and the company says they are designed to be simple to assemble while withstanding demanding operating environments such as the food and beverage sector, production machinery, lifting equipment, heavy-duty vehicles, and robotics.

The EcoTouch switches come in 22mm and 30mm sizes with raised or flush-mount options and a choice of plastic or aluminium bezels. Depending on the model, they comply with EN 60947-5-1 and UL 508. Alternating current versions support switching up to 500V and 10A for AC15 applications, while direct current variants are rated up to 220V and 5A for DC13 use.

The pendant controllers feature ergonomic housings offered in two sizes and in either grey or yellow. Rated to IP66, they can accommodate as many as five switches and include an integrated cable gland and metal mounting loop. They are available empty or pre-assembled with marked or labelled controls, and optional wall brackets can be added.

The new signal light towers, available in 24VDC or 230VAC, use a “click & connect” format intended to simplify assembly. Each version employs coloured LED modules to signal machine status and relies on a single wiring point. A variety of mounting brackets is offered, and extension poles allow installation at height.
