IBASE Technology has introduced a compact Edge-computing system built on NVIDIA’s Jetson Orin platform, aiming to capture demand for high-efficiency AI processing in tight industrial spaces.
The Taipei-based manufacturer said that the EC3020, which measures 126 mm by 96 mm by 73.9 mm, is designed for applications such as machine vision, smart-retail analytics, intelligent transport, and AIoT gateways. The fanless unit is built to operate continuously in harsh environments, a segment in which the company has been expanding its presence.
The system uses Jetson Orin NX or Nano system-on-modules, providing CUDA and Tensor acceleration for tasks including real-time inference, object detection, and multi-sensor fusion. IBASE said the combination is intended to reduce reliance on cloud processing, while improving responsiveness for edge-based automation.
Connectivity options include USB, LAN, serial interfaces, and optional Power-over-Ethernet to support AI-enabled cameras. Expansion slots allow additional wireless modules for deployments where space and power budgets are constrained.
IBASE, which is listed on Taiwan’s over-the-counter market, has been developing ruggedised systems for Industry 4.0 and smart-city infrastructure. The company manufactures its products at facilities in Taiwan certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 standards.
