Advantech will make its debut at Rail Live Madrid later this month, using the industry gathering to showcase a new generation of Intel-based railway platforms as it seeks to strengthen its position in Europe’s accelerating digital rail market.
The Taiwanese industrial computing group will exhibit from 26th–28th November, where it plans to unveil rail-certified systems, ruggedised devices, and live demonstrations developed with technology partners. The company said the showing reflects rising demand for secure, standards-compliant hardware as operators modernise ageing networks.
Advantech, which maintains European operations in Eindhoven, said its portfolio complies with mandatory rail and cybersecurity standards, including EN50155, EN45545, EN50121, and IEC62443. Among the products on display will be Intel-powered rolling-stock and wayside computers, AI-enabled edge systems for real-time analytics, and modular connectivity platforms for mission-critical environments.
The firm will highlight rail-certified Ethernet switches designed for onboard networking, alongside fanless systems built on Intel Atom, Celeron, and 11th-generation Core processors. It will also present AI devices combining Intel Core technology with NVIDIA Jetson Orin for applications such as video analytics, safety monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
As an Intel Prestige Partner, Advantech said the technologies underline the importance of high-performance, low-latency computing in modern rail operations, where operators face mounting pressure to reduce costs, improve visibility, and integrate legacy infrastructure.
The company will share its stand with partners including Nagarro, JAAI – Just Add AI, and Passengera, which will demonstrate use-cases ranging from inspection and diagnostics to passenger experience platforms.
Stéphane Blanc, Sales Director, Transportation Sector at Advantech Europe, said rail operators continue to confront “high operating costs, limited real-time visibility, legacy system integration challenges, and the need for secure, reliable equipment capable of functioning in harsh environments”. He added that Advantech’s rugged hardware, edge AI systems, IoT gateways, and OT-IT security capabilities are designed to raise uptime and operational efficiency.
“Rail Live Madrid is a significant opportunity for us to strengthen our relationships with key stakeholders driving the future of European rail,” he said. “Advantech enables safe, reliable, and sustainable transport through certified industrial computing and edge AI solutions. We are ready to become your technology partner on board.”
