AAEON has introduced a new integrated Edge-AI Panel PC aimed at engineers seeking to add computer-vision capability to industrial systems without increasing hardware complexity.

The NIKY-2155-NX combines a 15.6″ Full HD industrial display with NVIDIA’s Jetson Orin NX module, bringing local inferencing performance of up to 70 TOPS to applications such as inspection systems, machine interfaces, and smart-retail equipment.

By folding HMI functions and AI computation into a single unit, the device is designed to reduce latency, cabling, and the overall hardware footprint of embedded deployments.

AAEON says the platform can run workloads including defect detection, object tracking, and predictive-maintenance logic at the Edge, offering a route to more responsive automation without the need for separate accelerators or external edge computers.

The system is built for industrial conditions, with a 12–24V DC input, a stated operating range of –5°C to +55°C, and a rugged enclosure suited to factory environments. Its I/O array includes four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, CANBus, RS-232/422/485, and 13-bit DIO, reflecting demand for equipment that can bridge legacy and modern industrial networks.

AAEON is positioning the NIKY-2155-NX as a drop-in upgrade for existing machine HMIs and a scalable option for new designs, from prototype through to full production.
