Comau targets Middle East growth with automation push at Riyadh industry fair

Comau used this year’s Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia to underline its ambitions in the Middle East, showcasing a suite of automation technologies as the Kingdom accelerates plans for smarter and more sustainable manufacturing under Saudi Vision 2030.

The event, held earlier this month at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, brought together global and domestic industrial players under the Hannover Messe banner. Comau highlighted technologies designed to support the shift towards Industry 4.0, building on its recent participation in the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh.

Visitors were shown Comau’s portfolio of industrial and collaborative robotics, automated assembly systems, and solutions for battery manufacturing and renewable energy applications. The company’s work in Battery Energy Storage Systems and hydrogen processes drew particular interest, reflecting the Kingdom’s long-term decarbonisation targets. Comau also presented an enhanced intralogistics offering through the integration of Automha’s automated storage and retrieval systems.

With Saudi Arabia continuing to push ahead with economic diversification and industrial expansion, Comau said it aims to support both local and international firms in meeting digitalisation and automation goals. The group emphasised its ability to deliver flexible and scalable systems intended to improve operational efficiency.

Stefania Ferrero, Comau’s Chief Marketing and Solutions Portfolio Officer, said the event provided a timely opportunity to engage with customers and institutions shaping the region’s industrial landscape. She noted strong interest in automation, battery storage, and energy-related technologies, as well as in training programmes offered through the Comau Academy, adding that the company intends to deepen its contribution to Saudi Vision 2030 through technology, expertise, and partnerships.
