German standard parts specialist norelem has introduced a new range of chain tensioners, aimed at improving precision and adaptability in chain drive systems across industrial machinery.
The line, available in three sizes, offers adjustable tension forces and robust construction to protect components from wear, allowing engineers to accommodate both confined installations and heavy-duty applications. Chain tensioners play a key role in maintaining consistent tension, compensating for chain elongation caused by wear, and reducing stress on bearings.
norelem’s new units are designed for free-running operation, with tensioning systems that can be tailored to the requirements of individual machines. The housings are available in plastic, steel, or stainless steel, while the sliding sections are made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW).
Almir Jakupovic, Sales Director at norelem, said the launch “gives engineers flexible, reliable solutions for maintaining optimal chain performance. The three size options and adjustable tension forces mean there’s a suitable model for every application – from compact systems to heavy-duty machinery.”
With its modular design and durable materials, norelem positions the new chain tensioner line as a precision solution for modern machine engineering.
