Schneider Electric has named Ai Automation as its first certified robotics Alliance System Integrator (SI) Partner in the UK and Ireland, marking a significant expansion of the French energy management company’s partnership network in the region.
The Manchester-based firm, which develops bespoke automation systems combining vision technology with collaborative and industrial robots, said the certification would strengthen its market position and support business growth.
“Achieving Alliance SI Partner status with Schneider Electric will help us reach new customers,” said Grant Mullen, Managing Director at Ai Automation. “The certification process has given us valuable insight to train our workforce, grow the business, and help customers meet their goals for Industry 4.0 and beyond.”
Ai Automation designs and integrates automation systems using Schneider Electric’s programmable logic controllers (PLCs), with applications spanning end-of-line packaging in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage sectors. The company also advises on the selection and upgrading of automated systems to improve efficiency and safety.
The SME has received several government-backed innovation grants in recent years, including funding from the UK Department for Transport’s Freight Innovation Fund in 2024 and Innovate UK’s Smart Grant scheme in 2022.
“Certifying an SME as our first Robotics Partner in the UK and Ireland is an important milestone,” said Samira El Kassimi, Robotic and Automation Business Development Manager at Schneider Electric. “It demonstrates our commitment to supporting young, innovative companies that are developing solutions to future-proof industry.”
By working with specialist system integrators such as Ai Automation, Schneider Electric aims to encourage wider adoption of robotics and automation technologies, including its Modicon PLC range, across UK and Irish industry.
