E+E Elektronik upgrades AVS701 sensor promising 20x durability in harsh industrial settings

E+E Elektronik has redesigned its AVS701, an advanced air and gas velocity sensor aimed at the most demanding industrial environments. The device now promises durability up to 20 times longer than conventional sensors, offering highly accurate measurements while minimising downtime and lifecycle costs.

The new AVS701 features an integrated sensor positioning system and a process gas library, with an optional external pressure sensor to adjust for ambient pressure fluctuations. Its robust ceramic sensing element, housed in a stainless steel probe head with specialised coating, maintains stable performance under corrosive and extreme conditions.

“The AVS701 delivers precision and reliability in air and gas flow measurement. With state-of-the-art thin-film ceramic technology, a robust design, and effortless installation, it is the ideal solution for the most demanding industrial environments,” said Martin Lengauer, Product Manager at E+E Elektronik.

The sensor’s optical and technical redesign streamlines installation and operation, delivering improved accuracy and reliability. Suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 to +140 °C and measurement speeds of 0 to 40 m/s, the AVS701 is versatile, supporting applications from pharmaceutical production to 3D printing process monitoring.

E+E Elektronik claims the sensor can cut setup times by 60%, enhancing overall process efficiency and positioning the AVS701 as a leading choice in its performance category.
