SECO launches industrial 10.1-inch Raspberry Pi HMI with global sales through DigiKey

SECO has begun commercial sales of its Pi Vision 10.1 CM5, an industrial-grade human-machine interface built around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, with distribution handled at launch by DigiKey.

The Italian embedded-systems company said that customers can now order the device in a range of configurations, following an early-access period aimed at developers and OEMs using Raspberry Pi hardware to accelerate prototyping. A limited run of 1,000 units is being offered at a price of €246.67.

The batch is split evenly between two versions: one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMC storage, and another with 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage. Both feature SECO’s industrial enclosure and panel-mount design.

The Pi Vision 10.1 CM5 pairs the quad-core Cortex-A76 Compute Module 5 with a ruggedised housing designed for industrial automation, smart buildings, retail kiosks, and vending systems. The unit incorporates a 10.1-inch multi-touch display with IP66-rated front protection, and includes USB 3.0, HDMI, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet, GPIO, and integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for system integration.

Customers can run Raspberry Pi OS or SECO’s Clea OS, a Yocto-based platform that supports remote fleet management, over-the-air updates, and edge-AI workloads.

Eben Upton, Chief Executive of Raspberry Pi, said the collaboration offers developers a pathway from prototype to deployment, combining Raspberry Pi’s flexibility with SECO’s industrial hardware capabilities.

Each package includes the HMI unit, panel-mount brackets, an SMA antenna, and documentation. Power supplies are sold separately, with support for the official Raspberry Pi 27W USB-C PSU, or any 5V USB-C supply capable of delivering 5A via USB Power Delivery.

SECO develops hardware and software for industrial digitalisation, Edge computing, IoT, and AI applications. The company serves more than 450 clients across sectors including medical equipment, automation, fitness, vending, and transportation.
