Saluting the brightest stars in engineering

The ‘future of engineering’ – which equates to 24 of the brightest stars in the country will be gathering in London on 1st March, as the ‘glorious future of British engineering’ celebrate the sector. The stars have been nominated for awards in eight categories at The 2018 Semta Skills Awards – the most prestigious evening in the engineering calendar.

The event, to be held at the Park Plaza Hotel Westminster Bridge will be hosted by BBC presenter (and engineer), Steph McGovern, and will be addressed by Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills Anne Milton MP.

The Semta Skills Awards are judged and sponsored by some of the biggest names in engineering; Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, MBDA, Siemens, BAE Systems, EAL, the Education & Training Foundation and the Confederation of Shipbuilding and Engineering Unions.

Final nominees have beaten off the challenge of hundreds and are already in an elite group. They have gone through an exhaustive process and been considered to be exceptional by the illustrious judging panel made up of industry luminaries.
