Advanced Energy Industries, the Denver-based power technology group, has introduced a 350 W open-frame power supply aimed at industrial customers seeking reliable performance in demanding operating environments.
The SLB350 is designed for applications ranging from stage lighting and test and measurement equipment to automation, robotics, and battery charging. The company said the unit delivers continuous 350 W output and maintains full power at higher ambient temperatures and in restricted airflow, a feature intended to support consistent operation in harsher settings.
Certified to EN 55032 Class B for conducted and radiated emissions, the device is intended to ease system integration by limiting interference. It meets the IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 safety standard for information technology and audio-visual equipment, as well as the heavy-industrial immunity requirements of EN 61000-6-2.
Shane Callanan, Advanced Energy’s Vice President, Medical Products, System Power, said the product would allow engineers to cut costs “without sacrificing reliability or performance”, adding that improved thermal performance should help accelerate development cycles.
Available with outputs ranging from 12 V to 48 V, the SLB350 is supplied in a compact 3 x 5-inch open-frame format.
Advanced Energy, listed on Nasdaq under AEIS, supplies precision power conversion, measurement, and control systems to sectors including semiconductor equipment, industrial manufacturing, telecommunications, data-centre computing, and healthcare. The company, which has operations worldwide, is headquartered in Denver.
