Mid-Range Infrared Camera for Minimising Energy Loss in Building Sector

FLIR, the world largest supplier of infrared cameras, has introduced two new mid-range products to bring the choice of models in this range to no less than ten. Dedicated to applications in the building sector, these new additions are primarily designed to help reduce energy consumption in line with the EU’s new energy declaration legislation.

With around 40% of European energy being used to heat and cool buildings, the potential for energy saving is considerable. The new FLIR B365 and B425 infrared cameras are packed with useful features designed to help professionals improve their efficiency and competitiveness in undertaking the necessary detective work.

Standard camera features include the ability to show insulation performance of the building structure. Users can quickly record the leak points, using the camera’s laser marker to mark the exact locations on the image. Other important features include auto-focus, digital zoom lens, text annotations and in-built light to ensure sharp images, regardless of lighting conditions.

Ergonomic design combined with low weight, picture-in-picture fusion, touch screen, tiltable lens unit and interchangeable optics complete the package.

A complete product range offering the user a wide choice of models has been FLIR’s strategy for many years. Indeed, today the company offers more than forty different infrared camera models for diverse applications. The FLIR mid-range is a prime example of its commitment to the continuous development of its products.

“FLIR wants to offer everyone the right infrared camera for their specific need when it comes to price versus performance,” concluded Karsten Eggert, VP Sales and Marketing for EMEA region.
