Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS), a UK-based supplier of micro drive systems, will showcase its latest range of high-torque gearheads and motion controllers at the Engineering Design Show (EDS) this month.
The company said it would use the event in Coventry on 8th–9th October, to demonstrate new products and its in-house custom design service.
Among the technologies on display will be Faulhaber’s 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT gearheads, designed for higher torque applications. Built with stainless-steel housings and capable of operating between -30 °C and +120 °C, the models are aimed at applications requiring resilience to sudden load changes or harsh conditions. The range offers up to four gear stages and a wide choice of reduction ratios.
EMS will also highlight Faulhaber’s newly launched MC 3602 B and MC 3606 B motion controllers, which allow for easier integration of DC motors, brushless DC motors and linear motors. The devices, which support both servo and open-loop stepper motor operation, deliver continuous output currents of up to 2 A and 6 A respectively.
In addition to distributing drive technologies, EMS develops bespoke micro drive systems from its facility in Dorset.
“Design is at the heart of every engineering breakthrough,” said Dave Walsha, Sales and Marketing Director at EMS. “By managing the entire process in-house, we can deliver drive systems that are tailored to specific customer requirements while ensuring long-term performance.”
Founded in 1985, EMS supplies micro motors and actuators to sectors including medical devices, aerospace and defence.
